It’s often the case that when one wants to start a business, they think it should begin with an idea and a . But while these are necessary ingredients in , they overlook the most necessary ingredient of all: their own mindset. There’s a quote from author and entrepreneur Idowu Koyenikan that says, “The mind has a powerful way of attracting things that are in harmony with it  — good or bad.” And it’s true. If you hit one obstacle in building your business and believe it’s a sign that you should give up now, you likely will. But if your mindset is focused on perseverance and success, you’ll keep at it.

Now, many words come to mind in association with an entrepreneurial mindset: optimistic, determined, persistent, unwavering. But what about the mindset required to just get started? Entrepreneurship has a way of taking over our

Facebook is rolling out a new app for iPhone and Android called “Venue” that will let people talk about live sports. It will first support NASCAR.

Facebook said Friday the mobile app will be used to engage fans and television commentators during live events, as sports leagues brace for competitions without spectators due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Venue serves as a massive discussion board. Venue allows users to select between different chats within the app where fans can engage with assigned commentators. Facebook says hosts within the app will provide “interactive questions, polls, and open up short chats all around the specific moments” of the live event.

“Digital spaces can connect us when we can’t be together in person, and Venue is one way to feel the energy of watching live events with other fans,” Ime Archibong, head of Facebook’s new product experimentation division, said in a statement.

President Donald Trump is expected to hold a news conference on Friday to announce new measures against Beijing in response to its approval of a controversial national security law in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong government is worried that it will end up bearing the brunt of Trump’s retaliation.

On Wednesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reported to Congress that Hong Kong—one of two Special Administrative Regions in China—could no longer be considered autonomous enough to qualify for special economic treatment from the U.S., paving the way for Washington to revoke the city’s unique privileges.

“Practically, in Hong Kong-U.S. relations, any sanctions are a double-edged sword that will not only harm the interests of Hong Kong but also significantly those of the U.S.,” the Hong Kong government said in a lengthy statement Thursday.

To inflict real economic pain on Beijing, the U.S. would have to trigger what experts call the ‘nuclear option:’ cutting Hong Kong off from the U.S. …

As protests in Minneapolis over the death of a handcuffed African American turned increasingly violent, President Donald Trump threatened to send in armed forces and warned that “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.”

In a pair of early morning tweets on Friday, the president assailed the city’s mayor, Jacob Frey, as weak and said he had told Minnesota Governor Tim Walz that “the military is with him all the way.”

On Thursday night, a mob broke into the Third Precinct stationhouse in Minneapolis and set fire to it, according to the Associated Press. The officers had fled the building.

Protests over the death of George Floyd on Monday spread across the nation after a video of his encounter with police officers from the precinct spread across social media and television.

In the video, Floyd is on the pavement next to a police car with a white officer kneeling on his neck. He says that he cannot breath. The four officers involved were fired on Tuesday, though no charges have been filed.

Expressions of outrage from across the political spectrum followed the release of the video. There were protests in several other cities, including New York and Albuquerque. In Columbus, …
